We welcome a dialogue between
the leadership of APSF and those who will shape the implementation
of the recommendations in the IOM report and other safety initiatives.
Perhaps our experience would prove useful during this period of
discussion and deliberation. Given our relatively long history of
leadership in patient safety, we have much to offer. As befits our
mission in anesthesia and our commitment to patient safety in all
aspects of healthcare, it is our responsibility and our pleasure
to do so.
