
Elizabeth Malinzak, MD is a pediatric anesthesiologist and Associate Professor at Duke University, where she serves as the Director of Medical Student Education for the Department of Anesthesiology. She attended medical school and residency at Duke University and pursued a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at the University of North Carolina. Malinzak’s interests include improving patient safety through medical education and simulation, and enhancing wellness and equity in medicine. She also has academic interests in social media, leadership development, gender equity, and advocacy for young physicians. As such, she is the Past President of Women in Anesthesiology, a board examiner and question author for the American Board of Anesthesiology, and previous Chair of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Committee on Young Physicians. Malinzak lives in Durham, NC with her husband, two children, and dog.
